Who is this Lamb that we should eye?
He is the Lamb of God.
He came from Heav’n in human flesh
And in this world He trod.
He is the spotless Son of God
Who did His Father’s will,
The sick He healed and raised the dead
The Scriptures to fulfill.
His name is Jesus Christ the Lord
Who died for you and me,
Our sins He bore upon Himself
On Calv'rys cruel tree.
God raised Him from the dead in pow’r
And left an empty grave,
That all who will believe in Him
Eternally He’ll save.
Where is He now? the Lamb of God
That we should ever eye,
He stands in Heav’n at God’s right hand
Our Advocate on high.
But soon He’s coming back again
For all who own His name,
We’ll praise Him for eternity
He’s evermore the same!
